Women in Design – Kansas City is once again participating in this annual holiday event put on by Herman Miller and The John A Marshall Company. In this event, local architecture firms and organizations sponsor a holiday craft table for local children ages 5-13 to create a unique gift for themselves or their family. Each child will be able to walk from station to station building several crafts throughout the afternoon. There will also be a Santa Claus available for pictures as well as games, face painters and much more. With the holidays quickly approaching, WiD-KC’s Community Outreach committee would like to offer its members an opportunity to volunteer! Join WiD-KC for “We Care”, an annual event uniting the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Herman Miller, who are hosting the holiday gathering for children in need. The day of seasonal celebration includes a variety of craft stations where children create holiday gifts for family and friends. Join the WiD-KC craft table and help the youngsters get creative. Don’t forget to come to the after-party at Waldo Pizza. We will announce the winning craft, voted by CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Kansas City, Dave Smith.
