Women in Design – Kansas City is once again participating in this annual holiday event put on by Herman Miller and The John A Marshall Company. In this event, local architecture firms and organizations sponsor a holiday craft table for local children ages 5-13 to create a unique gift for themselves or their family. Each child will be able to walk from station to station building several crafts throughout the afternoon. There will also be a Santa Claus available for pictures as well as games, face painters and much more. Please contact programs@widkc.org if you would like to join this year’s We Care team and help plan WiD-KC’s craft!

WiD-KC’s 5th annual Day of Shadowing is quickly approaching. In this annual Fall event, local architecture/engineering/graphics firms host local high school students who are interested in design and allow them to shadow for the day. We have had a lot of interest this year, and this event is definitely creating a buzz where education and design intersect. Thank you to the WiD-KC Membership Committe members who are helping plan this great community event. If you work at a participating firm – look out for these aspiring designers, they are coming ready to learn.
