In celebration of our five-year anniversary and our growing national attention, Women in Design Kansas City has decided to revamp the look and feel of the WiD-KC brand. The design challenge was met head-on by a committee of eight professional women, all members of WiD-KC.  Their hard work has paid off: we proudly wield a new logo!

We are currently reworking our website with our new identity, please bear with us through this process.  Come back soon to see our new web identity.
Our theme for the 2010-2011 year is "Empowerment." This theme represents all the things we do to improve ourselves, our profession and organizations.  It can be as simple as attending one of our mentorship lunches to learn a new skill or coming out to a social event to network. Empowerment can manifest in a very meaningful way, as we partner up with community organizations, to support worthwhile causes.  WiD-KC offers many programs and events that allow people in all design fields to connect, learn and volunteer.  We encourage all of our members to become more involved to empower themselves and share their unique skills and connections with us all.

Women in Design Kansas City is a community of women involved in architecture and the design professions who have come together for mentorship, support, and advocacy for women in design. We provide opportunities for working with our community to educate, enhance, explore and celebrate the historic and present contributions of women in our professions through community outreach, mentorship, programs and research.
