Oct 21: Day of Shadowing

WiD-KC’s 5th annual Day of Shadowing is quickly approaching. In this annual Fall event, local architecture/engineering/graphics firms host local high school students who are interested in design and allow them to shadow for the day. We have had a lot of interest this year, and this event is definitely creating a buzz where education and design intersect. Thank you to the WiD-KC Membership Committe members who are helping plan this great community event. If you work at a participating firm – look out for these aspiring designers, they are coming ready to learn.
On October 21st, nineteen local firms participated in Women in Design’s Day of Shadowing. This year we were able to place 90 local high school students at firms to learn about design! Thank you to the Membership Committee members who helped organize the event: Christina Bechtel, Ellen Foster, Terren Hall, Christina McCoy, and Erin Mulligan. Great job, ladies! Also, thank you to all the firms that participated; we couldn’t have done it without you!
