Women in Design – Kansas City is proud to award our first ever scholarship on Tuesday, August 9th at the downtown AIA office. Come meet our winner and learn more about our scholarship opportunities. This reception is open to all, but please RSVP, see below.

The scholarship initiative was an original WiD-KC five-year goal.  In 2009 we partnered up with the Kansas City Architectural Foundation, a 501(c)(3) corporation to create a scholarship opportunity available to women at any level of study, who are in pursuit of a degree in design related fields such as Architecture, Interior Design, Landscape Design, Industrial Design, and Product Design.  Judgement for WiD-KC scholarships is based on need, academic excellence and demonstrated leadership.  On April 9th, 2011, we hosted our inaugural event Ignite, a Masquerade Gala to benefit the Scholarship Fund.  Now, on August 9th, we will be awarding our first scholarship to our first recipient!  If you are interested in supporting our scholarship fund, click here for a donation form.
